A murder inquiry has been started after a three-year-old girl was found dead in Greater Manchester, along with a woman with slash wounds to her wrists.
Police were called to house in Lea Mount Drive, Bury, at about 1900 GMT on Thursday after concerns were raised about the child's welfare.
The injured woman, in her 30s, is believed to be the girl's mother.
She was taken to Fairfield Hospital where she was said to be in a semi-conscious, but critical condition.
Greater Manchester Police said a team of specialist officers were at the scene trying to establish what happened.
