Man, 20, dies in road collision

A 19-year-old man has died following a road traffic collision involving two cars on Anglesey in which two teenage girls were also seriously hurt.

The incident happened at 2210 GMT on Saturday on the A5025 between Pentraeth and Four Crosses.

Police named the dead driver as Thomas Alan McCann. Two 16-year-old girls in the car have been taken to hospital.

Two women, aged 40 and 27, in the second car suffered minor injuries. All those involved are local, said police.

Firefighters from Benllech and Beaumaris were called to the scene and used cutting equipment to release casualties.

Police have carried out a collision investigation at the scene and are still in the process of conducting inquiries.
